Sharpening the Image Using Unsharp Mask
Choose a value for the radius equal to the final display resolution divided by 150. For a web photo, 72/150= 0.5-0.6 radius. For an inkjet print, 300/150= 2.0 . The lower the radius, the higher the useable value for the Amount. For images with sharp lines (buildings) use 0-1 for Threshold. For faces use 7-20 for the Threshold. For multiple use images, save final image without sharpening. Then sharpen a copy before printing or sending to web.
