Original Captured Image vs. Refined Image

The initial histogram had a sharp peak at the left end of the histogram. Our manipulations were designed to dray tones out of the shadow areas and remap them to higher values thus smearing the histogram to towards the highlights area. Underexposing the original image allows us to hold the highlights and use PhtooShop to draw the image detail out of the shadows. Too much underexposure will increase electronic noise in the image.
