Displaying the Histogram Tool

Choosing Image / Histogram from the pull down menus.
The histogram shows the number of pixels on the vertical scale for each brightness level on the horizontal scale (0 to 255) where the left edge of the histogram corresponds to a pure black (0) and the right edge corresponds to a pure white (255).
