The selected carriage

Once selected, use Edit/Copy command to move a copy of the selection to the clipboard. Then activitate the destination image (the moonscape) by clicking on its title bar. Then paste the selection from the clipboard to the image using the Edit/Paste command.
Alternativey, if both images are being displayed, just drag the selection from one image and drop it on the other image.
